After viewing pictures of handsome men on DeviantArt and gorgeous men at the YMCA, I just had to write something along the lines of what ancient poets would write.

I even used Sapphic verse, in deference to one of my favorite poets, Sappho, one of the few female voices of Classical Greece and writer of some of the fairest poetry I've read.

Fergus Mac Ròich is one of the great kings and warriors in ancient Irish legends and myths. His name itself is very virile, as it means literally, "Man-strength/Virility son of the Great Horse", and he himself is described as a massive man with great sexual potency.

Aonghus Òg is the Irish god of love, youth, and beauty. He could be compared to Apollo. He is mischievous by nature, but he has four birds in his employment who send messages of love.

I wanted to explore the beauty of men in different skin tones and hair colors.

I just re-read this poem, and I am very, very impressed with it, again. The whole poem is beautiful, but that final stanza---as a climax (no pun intended)---could inspire many fantasies, and perhaps dreams that are not merely "dry" runs (if you take my meaning). The more I read of your poems, the more addicted to them I become.
